Haven Ministries Hosts Wine and Windows Fundraising Event

Haven Ministries hosted a Wine and Windows fundraising event at Hemingway’s Restaurant in Stevensville. Hemingway’s, a Business Partner of Haven Ministries, generously donated the event. Approximately 75 people attended the fun, creative event which featured painter Martiel Traczyk Beatty from the Artcademy. A buffet dinner and drinks were served and guests took home a hand-painted window. Guest also got to shop at pop-up shops by such vendors as Lularoe, Trades of Hope, Mary Kay, Legal Shield, Bayview Portraits, Natalie’s Honey Hut, and Edward Jones.

According to Mia Cranford, Director of Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator at Haven Ministries, “The event was well attended, different, and participants had lots of fun. It was great to work with our business partners who support us and in turn help us raise funds so we could open as a disaster relief shelter to help victims of the tornado.”

The event benefited the ministry of Haven Ministries, including its Resource Center, which offers a place of referral and case management services to residents of Queen Anne’s County. The Resource Center offers case management services, educational programs/financial counseling, job training, wellness, limited pastoral counseling, and enrichment classes. The Center also offers the use of its computers and office equipment to area residents, as well as office space for Haven Ministries to conduct meetings and perform administrative duties.  The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 301 South Liberty Street in Centreville, MD.
