Centreville UMC and Haven Ministries Announces Cloverton’s
BLOOM Tour May 4 in Centreville

Centreville United Methodist Church in Centreville, MD and Haven Ministries announce that the band CLOVERTON will be performing on Friday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at Centreville United Methodist Church as part of its BLOOM tour. Admission is free and a love offering will be received to benefit Haven Ministries. With the quickening success of their sophomore album “Bloom,” the four-piece pop-rock band is extending their cd release tour to hit the East Coast in the spring of 2018. From their humble beginnings as a small church worship team, to the recent release of their highly-anticipated sophomore album, CLOVERTON continues to pave a new way for independent Christian music.

Haven Ministries has a strong relationship with a number of churches in the area, including Kent Island United Methodist Church, which hosts its seasonal shelter; Safe Harbor Presbyterian Church in Stevensville, which hosts its Food Pantry; and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Centreville, which hosts its Resource Center, as well as Centreville United Methodist Church. According to Pastor Chris Pettit of Centreville United Methodist Church, “Our goal is to offer an uplifting event that brings the community together and does some good for our neighbors. Since Haven Ministries is one of our church’s ministry partners and they do an excellent job serving the poor in our community, supporting them was a no brainer. For years, this congregation has volunteered at Haven Ministries Shelter, Resource Center, and Food Pantry and has been supportive of its Thrift Shop.” He adds, “CLOVERTON is a very popular band and we hope the community will come out and support this exciting free event. A love offering will be taken the night of the concert which will benefit Haven Ministries, an organization making a difference every day in the quality of life of our citizens.”

CLOVERTON scored the number one most downloaded song in the history of KLOVE radio for their first single “Take Me into the Beautiful,” which also charted at number 12 on the overall Christian Billboard top 25. The Manhattan-based band followed up its top hit Billboard single, “Take Me into the Beautiful,” with an unforgettable Christmas rendition of Leonard Cohen’s song “Hallelujah,” which reached millions of YouTube viewers in just weeks.

The band’s Bloom tour focuses on the journey. “It’s a calling out…an invitation,” says front man Lance Stafford. “We’re all in a constant state of motion. We’re either transforming into a more heavenly version of ourselves, or we are deforming into the opposite. The music that inspired the album (Bloom) takes a deeper look into the steps on that journey. . . . Our lives don’t stay the same. . . And throughout all those changes, we must bloom more and more into the creation that God has intended in each of us.”
